About

Lawrence Elizabeth Knox is a freelance writer and photographer based in Houston, Texas.

With great zest, she strives to capture pure emotion in the candid moments of life and has quickly developed a reputation for her reliability, attention to detail and enthusiasm. She has had the opportunity to fulfill the photographic needs for companies like Houston Ballet, Moët Hennessy, Weingarten Art Group, Buffalo Bayou Partnership, Discovery Green, local high-end event planners and more. As a writer, she is a regular contributor to the arts section of the Houston Chronicle, as well as several of Modern Luxury’s regional lifestyle magazines. Her editorial work has also been featured in publications like Sojourners Magazine, Southern Automotive Alliance Magazine and WBUR’s The ARTery, the arts website for Boston’s NPR news station.

A native Arkansan, Lawrence has always found joy in telling people’s stories, a passion that first manifested onstage. Before attending Boston University, where she graduated summa cum laude with a degree in journalism, she was a professional ballet dancer with Tulsa Ballet. She is blessed to now be on the other side of the curtain, eagerly sharing the significance of the arts with as many people as possible. Lawrence truly believes a smile can change a life, and when she is not working, she loves to volunteer, especially for organizations serving individuals with special needs, attend mission trips with her hometown church and walk the neighborhood with her sweet Boston terrier, Feni.
